MY BIO

I studied Mechanical Engineering to build analytical skills so I can solve problems I feel passionate about. While in college I explored a number of interests. My interests are broad and include renewable energy, electric vehicles, as well as control systems, robotics, and automation.

Actively seeking employment in these and other fields. Contact information at the bottom.

I apply my passion for problem-solving to all positions I hold. I enjoy contributing to a culture of teamwork, innovation, and collaboration. My wide-ranging professional history is an asset I use to integrate best practices from multiple industries into my current tasks

In my free time, I enjoy running, cycling, sailing, and especially reading. I love to read from a broad variety of authors/genres to deepen my understanding of the world and see life from the perspective of others.

PROJECTS AND SKILLS

Diabetes statistical report in STAT 330: Regression

Used R language to explore data, select variables for logistic regression, made a logistic regression, constructed confidence intervals, determined an appropriate threshold for classification, assessed the model fit by building a confusion matrix, assessed the predictive ability of my model by running cross-validation, and made predictions if patients with certain profiles would have diabetes.

Programmed Optimization Methods in MECH ENG 575:

Ten-bar Truss optimization: Minimized the mass of a 10 beam bridge, subject to the constraints that every segment does not yield in compression or tension. Programed the minimize function from scratch in Python with various gradient and non-gradient-based methods.

Programmed auto-balance & steering on Half Drone in MECH ENG 431 Control Systems

Fully coded a PID (proportional, integral, and differential) controlled drone. Derived equations of motion using Euler-Lagrange method. Programed those into the drone using Python, and ROS (robot operating system).
